Economy

The economic system is still a work in progress, please pardon our dust.

The base of our Economy is broken down into Resource Points that are worth 100 Ducats each.

Monthly Accrual

Every month, each character is issued a certain number of Resource Points. This is determined by:

(1d20 + Economics(to a maximum of d20 + 20)) x Wealth Score

Wealth Score

At character generation, you select a Wealth level appropriate to your character. This is not from a point pool, but it needs to be justified and explained. The scale of Wealth is as follows.

0 - Utterly destitute - Your life is terrible, please don't do this.
1 - Impoverished - Likely without a home, but perhaps a low paying job.
2 - Poor - A small, shared home and a low paying job. Or an average job to support a family.
3 - Common - A small home and a laborer's salary, perhaps a very humble farm.
4 - Tradesperson - An average common home with the income of a skilled worker or a profitable farm - The lowest possible wealth for a Courtesan.
5 - Merchant - An average to generous home, merchanting income, a famous farm - The lowest possible wealth for a Noble.
6 - Lord - A generous home or estate and a stipend. Common level for lords, ladies, and heirs to lower nobility.
7 - Baron - An estate with tenants. Common level for barons or the heirs to higher nobility. This is the highest possible wealth for a Commoner.
8 - Comte - An estate with significant tenancy. Common level for Comtes or the heirs to Ducal seats. The highest possible wealth for a non Second or Dowayne Courtesan.
9 - Duc - A vast estate and staff. Common level for Ducals, both Provincial and Sovereign. Level for Dowaynes. Possible level for Seconds.
10 - Royal - An extravagant estate, no expense is unreasonable. Nobility may reach this level of wealth, but they need serious justifications if they are below the Ducal level.
